Description

SUMMARY:

he Senior Data Analyst extracts and analyzes data designs reports and presents findings to management and boards to enhance productivity efficiency quality and clinical outcomes. This role supports organizational goals by generating data insights improving business processes and maintaining data for quality improvement initiatives and patient management programs. The Senior DA works independently on complex projects and collaborates with leaders demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and expertise in turning data into actionable information.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Aligns work with the organizations vision mission and values while delivering professional courteous service.
  2. Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and complete responsibilities efficiently.
  3. Gathers reporting requirements translates them into specifications and designs tools like reports dashboards and visualizations to communicate data effectively.
  4. Analyzes systems workflows and data repositories to improve collection accuracy and integration while maintaining data integrity.
  5. Conducts data audits identifies discrepancies and recommends system improvements to enhance reporting value and efficiency.
  6. Develops standardized tools including surveys matrices and dashboards to streamline data access and reporting.
  7. Collaborates with stakeholders to define data needs build custom and recurring reports and present findings in a userfriendly way to support decisionmaking.
  8. Educates users on data systems to enhance understanding quality standards and productivity.
  9. Ensures compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations while maintaining configuration management for reports.
  10. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications.
  11. Travels between Gracelight sites and/or external partnership sites as needed.
  12. Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
  13. Must be willing and able to work at all locations as needed to meet patient care needs.
  14. Performs all other duties as assigned some of which may be outside of business hours and/or on weekends.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and ability required.   1. Bachelors degree in information technology or credential in health information technology preferred and/or four years of experience using enterprise class data reporting informatics and decision support tools for management and operational reporting required.
  2. Five plus years of experience with databases reporting software data extraction and data presentation tools required.
  3. Ten plus years of experience with Microsoft Office suite required and EPIC EMR system preferred.
  4. Microsoft certifications: Power BI Data Analyst Associate Oracle Certifed Professional SQL Azure Data Fundamentals Certified Analyst Python preferred.
  5. Epic Certifications: Clarity Data Model are preferred.
  6. Knowledge of FQHC operations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
  7. Five plus years of experience in the health care field preferred.
  8. Working knowledge of data security and privacy laws preferred (e.g. HIPAA).
  9. Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  10. A genuine passion and deep appreciation for the mission of the Organization.
  11. Flexibility to work both remotely and onsite as needed including the ability to attend impromptu meetings or handle urgent issues in person at any of Gracelight Community Healths locations.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or sit. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing writing etc. The employee is occasionally required to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Sensory: The employee is frequently required to read documents written reports and plans. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise as in answering the phone interacting with staff etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
  • Cognitive: The employee is frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 2045 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days. Must be able to analyze information problems situations practices or procedures. Must be able to analyze complex technical data using qualitative and quantitative sources of information to formulate logical and objective conclusions and to recognize alternatives and their implications. Must be able to carry out instructions delivered in written oral or in other daily situations that arise and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Environmental: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (health center/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances dust and loud noises.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII other licensing regulations and Gracelight practices.
  • This position may require occasional driving for business purposes. A valid California drivers license reliable personal vehicle current personal auto insurance as required by law and an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under the agencys auto liability policies are essential job requirements.
  • A personal cell phone with reliable service is required. If business use exceeds typical personal use a stipend may be provided to cover a portion of the cell phone bill.
  • While not initially required the candidate may be encouraged to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification especially if involved in community outreach or events where such qualifications could be beneficial.
