Director of Care RN LTC/AL Seniors Care Home
Grande Prairie Alberta
Seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Care RN with a passion for building teams that provide exceptional compassionate support to seniors and their families. You are Director of Care RN with a mix of integrity energy intelligence with a passion for helping others by leading the care team of RNs LPNs and Care Aides through a shared vision of exceptional and purposeful direct patient care.
You are a Director of Care RN that believes in supporting each one of your employees in reaching the highest levels of professional development contribution collaboration and accountability in turn helping you achieve your full potential in an environment of respect compassion and teamwork.
Key Skills:
Director of Care RN must enjoy engaging with their clinical team working together as decisionmaking partners while coaching mentoring and supporting the team to grown professionally while providing highquality patient centred care.
The Director of Care RN must be able to apply geriatric and nursing knowledge to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure that nursing practice in the care home is caring compassionate and evidence based.
Director of Care RN must be a skilled critical thinker problem solver and leader able to implement quality assurance and improvement programs and be able to coordinate efforts with other disciplines.
Director of Care RN must establish standards of conduct and hold their staff accountable to these standards ensure their staffs competency through oversight of professional development and education programs provide support manage conflict and act as a role model.
Lastly the Director of Care RN must be adept dealing with regulatory issues staffing and scheduling addressing resident and family concerns attending to conflicts overseeing nursing care and managing costs.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with 3 to 5 years Director of Care / Nursing Leadership experience within Longterm Residential Care
- Must be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
