Job Description

Job Title: Nursery Teacher
Location: Brent Greater London
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience
Contract: Fulltime
Start Date: September 2025

About Us:
We are a welcoming and vibrant twoform entry school in Brent committed to providing an outstanding early years education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our school is dedicated to supporting childrens development through play exploration and creativity. We are now looking for a passionate Nursery Teacher to join our team and contribute to the high standards of learning and care for our youngest pupils. The position will start in September 2025.

Role Overview:
As a Nursery Teacher you will play a key role in supporting the development of our Nursery children providing them with rich stimulating learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of young learners ensuring each child is nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver highquality EYFS lessons and activities that engage and challenge Nurseryage children
  • Monitor and assess childrens progress and development providing feedback to parents and carers
  • Create a safe caring and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through play
  • Foster a positive inclusive classroom culture promoting independence and confidence
  • Work closely with colleagues including teaching assistants to support childrens development
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure the best outcomes for children and maintain strong homeschool links
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and support childrens social and emotional development
  • Contribute to the wider school community including extracurricular activities and school events

We are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (EYTS will be considered)
  • A passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Experience working in early years settings (desirable)
  • Creativity enthusiasm and a patient approach to teaching
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
