Position Overview
The Senior MultiFamilyDesigner/Manager role offers a rare opportunity to lead transformative multifamily projectswhile advancing your career at one of the industrys top firms. From shaping the creative vision tomentoring a talented team this position is designed for architects ready to leave their mark on thearchitectural landscape.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Define and execute the design vision for multifamily projects that alignwith client goals and community needs.
- Team Development: Mentor and manage a team of three or more designers fosteringcollaboration and professional growth.
- Project Oversight: Manage a portfolio of 5 to 15 active projects in a fastpaced environmentwith tight deadlines.
- Technical Expertise: Deliver exceptional designs across various construction types including:
- Stick frame (wood) light gauge steel and posttensioned concrete.
- Highrise garden apartments and podiumstyle 4over1 5over1 designs.
- Lobby leasing and amenity space planning that elevates the user experience.
- Regulatory Navigation: Lead zoning approvals site plans and compliance processes acrossmultiple jurisdictions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clients civil engineers land use attorneys andlandscape architects to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Client Management: Develop fee proposals negotiate contracts and oversee invoicing with afocus on building lasting relationships.
- Public Representation: Represent projects at public hearings and architecture review boardsshowcasing confidence and expertise.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in multifamily project design and 3 years of direct staff managementexperience.
- Education: Bachelors degree in architecture (professional registration preferred).
- Portfolio: Proven history of highprofile successful projects with clear contributions.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in construction types and zoning processes particularly in theMidAtlantic and New England regions.
- Real Estate Insight: Strong understanding of land acquisition construction costs andprogramming.
Compensation and Benefits
This fulltime permanent role offers a competitive salary range starting at $130000 $150000 plusbonus commensurate with experience. The position also includes relocation bonus (if needed)comprehensive benefits such asrobust health insurance 401(k) matching and profit sharing.
