What will you be doing
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK & Ireland legislation as well as Bosch Central Directive Customs
- Be the first point of contact for all foreign trade related topics and provide customs and compliance awareness trainings for LE associates.
- Provide regular updates and information exchange with other UK LE contacts within the OSD4 network
- Develop and maintain cost efficient foreign trade processes and where possible/relevant apply for beneficial customs procedures and authorisations.
- Monitor and support the internal/external operations to ensure importations are carried out in line with operational and legal requirements.
- Management of external customs brokers monitoring of their KPIs and drive their operational improvements
- Monitor export activities to ensure the export procedure is closed properly and proof of export is available.
- Advise on Preferential Origin and ensure the calculation maintenance and documentation of all preferential statements.
- Carry out broker audits and evaluation of our contracted external service providers on an annual basis.
- Be the onsite contact for AEO coordination along with supporting the rest of the DCGB business.
- Coordinate customs audits (internal/external) and ensure all documentation is available for the audit team(s)
- Archive customs clearance relevant data and documents (including original preferential documents).
- Provide technical support on existing and future trade agreements relevant to the UK and Ireland
- Working alongside the relevant internal departments ensure the supplier base are providing goods and services to Bosch in a cost efficient and compliant way.
