JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEPerforms a wide variety of accounting functions which includes preparing maintaining and monitoring various financial/productivity reports for outside regulatory agencies and auditors. Responsible for general ledger maintenance reconciliation of accounts internal/external financial reporting fixed asset accounting budgeting and adhoc financial analysis. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONSamaritan Health Plans (SHP) operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunity Health Plans Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans Inc. offers Medicare Advantage Commercial Large Group and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the thirdparty administrator for Samaritan Health Services selffunded employee health benefit plan. As part of an Integrated Delivery System Samaritan Health Plans is strategically and operationally aligned with Samaritan Health Services mission of Building Healthier Communities Together. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS NOTE: This is a hybrid position. For that reason a local traveler may be the best fit for this position. Collegelevel coursework in accounting or related field required. Bachelors degree from an accredited university in accounting preferred.Two 2 years experience doing the full scope of accounting work for a business required. Bachelors degree from an accredited university in accounting may substitute for this experience.Experience with computers required. Experience with MS applications preferred.
