Job Description
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer based out of Saskatoon SK to join our project team executing a Potash mining project Saskatchewan. As a Project Engineer working in an Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) within the Owners team you will ensure that work plans are developed and followed consistently with the Project Plan and that project goals for quality health safety environment regulatory schedule and cost are achieved. As a Project Engineer you will be supporting the Project Engineering Manage. While the preference is for this position to be based in the project office in Saskatoon we can accommodate this position to be based in other project and Bantrel offices located in Bethune (SK) Calgary (AB) Edmonton (AB) and Toronto (ON).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assumes ownership of the project scope engineering budget and schedule and procurement activities.
- Manages and coordinates engineering deliverables (for FEL2 FEL3 and detailed Engineering) and provides interdiscipline coordination for the design and engineering of the project.
- Assists the discipline leads in developing detailed work plans to support the project plan. Detailed work plans include the scope of work list of deliverables staffing plans jobhours budget and schedule of deliverables.
- Reviews and approves project deliverables including but not limited to change orders material requisitions bid evaluations engineering studies quantity takeoffs jobhour forecasts progress reports.
- Evaluates scope changes following management of change (MOC) process and recommends corrective actions to the project engineering manager.
- Manages the flow of information between disciplines procurement construction and third parties to ensure project progress.
- Maintains open and constant contact with the project manager engineering manager procurement manager project controls construction manager and client contacts.
- Prepares or recommends project procedures as required; and
- Maintains contact with the client process licensor project/jobsite personnel sellers and regulatory agencies.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications :
- Five 5 to Ten 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Engineering degree from an accredited university and PEng registration in good standing.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities skilled in supervision and leads the team by example.
- Multitasking and coordination skills executing complex projects in a high pressure and fastpaced environment.
- Strong interpersonal problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- A selfmotivated person who also motivates others.
- Communicates in a proactive accurate and positive manner at all times and is comfortable with managing and resolving conflict when necessary.
- Proficient technical ability and knowledge of project and field engineering processes.
- Working knowledge of the industry and regulatory standards procurement and construction systems and practices.
- Take ownership for achieving the project engineering and construction goals with regards to safety quality health environment scope cost and schedule.
- Skilled in customer relationship management;
- Able to travel to client facilities and lead engineering teams on site with an emphasis on safe practices and efficient use of client resources.
