Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.


We are now seeking Ultrasonographer Radiology for a private hospital located in Tralee Ireland.


Permanent FullTime Post
35 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasounds to create images of internal organs tissues and blood flow for medical diagnosis and treatment
  • Determine the appropriate equipment settings to obtain clear images for accurate interpretation by a physician
  • Record and document images and patient information for medical records and diagnostic evaluations
  • Provide patients with preparation instructions before the ultrasound and explain the procedure and results to patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results and develop treatment plans
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is working properly alerting necessary personnel when maintenance or repairs are required
  • Follow protocols for infection control and safety measures to ensure patient and staff safety during ultrasounds
  • Continue education and training to stay uptodate on new techniques procedures and equipment in the field of ultrasound technology
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the healthcare industry.










Requirements

  • Qualifications in BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent are required for this position
  • CORU registration
  • Experience in various modalities including the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in ultrasound is necessary
  • strong IT skills
  • Possess proven customer service skills and/or qualifications along with exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
