A growing hospitality group based in Irvine CA is seeking a KoreanEnglish Bilingual HR Manager to lead and manage all human resources functions across their hotel and restaurant operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who can build and oversee HR systems and practices in a small corporate team with no existing HR department.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the sole HR leader for the U.S. office overseeing all HR functions including employee relations compliance recruitment and performance management.
- Develop and implement HR policies procedures and best practices aligned with hospitality operations.
- Manage fullcycle recruitment and onboarding for both corporate and fieldlevel roles.
- Handle benefits administration including health insurance 401(k) paid leave and employee perks.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws including wage and hour regulations.
- Provide guidance to leadership and department heads on performance reviews employee discipline and workplace policies.
- Support payroll coordination and maintain employee records in accordance with HR compliance standards.
- Promote a positive respectful and legally compliant workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- 10 25 years of progressive HR experience including at least 3 years in an HR management role.
- Experience in the hospitality industry (hotels restaurants or food service) is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in Korean and English (both written and verbal) required.
- Indepth knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and establish HR structure in a small handson environment.
- Experience with HR software payroll systems or employee management platforms is a plus.
