Job Description

The Payroll Processing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This position requires attention to detail strong analytical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing procedures compliance with federal and state regulations and a high level of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Process biweekly semimonthly or monthly payroll for employees using payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex).

Review and verify timesheets and ensure accuracy of hours worked overtime vacation and sick leave entitlements.

Calculate and process adjustments bonuses commissions and deductions as needed.

Coordinate with HR to ensure new hires terminations and changes are accurately reflected in payroll systems.

Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management for review and approval.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and provide exceptional customer service.

Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Assist in yearend processes including W2 preparation and reconciliation.

Stay updated on payroll laws regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred.

Minimum of 23 years of experience in payroll processing.

Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office applications particularly Excel.

Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.

Excellent math and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
