Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER
ENTACT is a premier national provider of environmental civil and geotechnical construction services. We directly selfperform environmental remediation and geotechnical construction work using inhouse personnel and equipment resources. ENTACTs roster is comprised of seasoned project managers field engineers technical and regulatory professionals certified safety professionals certified quality control managers equipment operators field mechanics and technicians with diverse capabilities and experience. ENTACT is presently seeking an experienced Project Manager in the environmental remediation and geotechnical construction industry. This individual will manage a project onsite while overseeing and developing field personnel and maintaining strong relationships and communications with clients and consultants.
Position Summary:
The position of Project Manager will assume the pivotal role of overseeing all onsite project operations meticulously ensuring that projects are executed with the utmost focus and adherence to safety schedule budget and site plans. This individual will exhibit a high level of attention to detail adept time management skills and a lead from the front attitude. The Associate will direct and supervise a diverse team of Associates including project administrators field engineers and field managers. Associate must be open to periods of sustained projectbased travel. HAZWOPER training is highly preferred but not required. Must have a valid Drivers license with no driving restrictions which interfere with job requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for a safety culture that plans leads and directs safe work.
  • Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.
  • Assist with estimating and proposals of bid opportunities.
  • Be able to understand/review project specifications drawings takeoff information production rates subcontractors and overall approach.
  • Manage construction work to ensure project is constructed according to design budget and schedule.
  • Responsible for project schedules.
  • Responsible for providing monthly cost and revenue forecasts.
  • Responsible for accurate production reporting and interfacing with client representatives.
  • Plan coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling engineering material control provide daytoday guidance of onsite administrative).
  • Responsible for understanding of general contract administration and a complete understanding of all project contract requirements. Responsible for recognizing changes in project scope and or conditions.
  • Provide technical assistance interpretation of drawings construction means and methods and equipment. Start and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Responsible for project site productivity and performance.
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Competence in Primavera P6 Microsoft Projects and AutoCAD software.
  • Computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Outlook Projects and Excel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering technology codes and standards.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to take the initiative.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Team player with the ability to meet deadlines goals and objectives.
  • Strong organization time management and attention to detail.
  • Good problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Must be able to visually see and read blueprints charts graphs and reports.
Physical Demands/Visual Requirements:
Physical visual and situational activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include but are not limited to:
  • Work is performed while standing or walking outdoors or in an office environment.
  • Must be capable of working under physical stress conditions such as heat stress and cold stress during various weather conditions and potential long workdays.
  • Possibility of use of respiratory equipment (i.e. halfface fullface SCBA etc..
  • Heat extremes when wearing certain types of PPE. Wear Level C and D PPE including cotton Tyvek chemical protective coveralls eye and face protection hand protection etc. Potential for Level A and B PPE exists.
  • Climbing stairs and/or ladders to reach elevated workstations.
  • Working on elevations such as scaffolding bridges buildings etc.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 1 to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and may be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Donning of varying types of personal protective equipment (PPE) as project requirements and conditions warrant. Minimum PPE includes steel toe safety boots hard hat safety glasses ear plugs and reflective safety vest.
  • Working in loud or noisy environments.
  • Ability to give clear and precise verbal and written instruction to all crew members including when under pressure.
  • Match or detect differences between colors including shades of color and brightness.
  • See objects or movement of objects to ones side when the eyes are focused forward.
  • Hear the direction from which a sound originated.
  • Frequent facetoface interaction with others. Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate.
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include:
  • Outside construction site onsite office space.
  • The terrain is rugged and may be difficult to navigate.
  • Dusty and windy atmospheres.
  • Confined spaces.
  • Noisy work environments.
  • Contaminated atmospheres (i.e. fumes vapors lead dust H2S etc..
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be worn including but not limited to hard hat hearing protection such as ear plugs or muffs eye protection such as safety glasses goggles face shield etc. welders helmet safety vest various types of gloves including leather Nitrile latex etc. steel toe boots and various respiratory protection such as dust masks half face and full face respirators SCBAs APRs etc. may be required depending on site conditions. Protective coveralls include cotton Tyvek fire ant chemical protective etc.
