Job Description

At MercedesBenz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) we are committed to delivering worldclass automotive technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible. Our teams of highly skilled engineers and designers use cuttingedge software and technology to enhance the driving experience and reduce environmental impact.

Research work in electric motor control algorithms design and development activities for electrified powertrain. Interact with universities customers and team members to provide solutions and support to meet customers expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Advancing the emotor control technology with innovation methods tools and processes. Establishing best practices for emotor related analysis controls and testing.
    • Perform the EMotor control algorithm development in Simulink/TargetLink models auto code generation algorithm verification and validation through simulation hardwareintheloop dyno tests and other prototype test environments. Deliver system performance that meets the customers expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 02 years of relevant work experience
    • Electric motor control/Power electronics background
    • Familiar with Rapid prototype tools such as DSPACE/Plecs RTbox/FPGA
    • Familiar with Matlable/Simulink
    • Familiar with C language
    • Knowledge of power electronics in electric drive systems

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
    • PhD candidate
