Job Description
Lansing Building Products has supplied professional contractors with highquality building products since its founding in 1955. - Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect service and excellence
- Works under the direction of the branch manager and is responsible for the daytoday operation of the branch
- Plays a critical role in the profitability of the branch and assists the branch manager with P&L management
- Supervises the inside sales staff and the warehouse manager
- Serves as the goto leader for customer service opportunities and issues
- Searches for ways to improve branch operations and sales
- Monitors all branch operations including: warehouse processes physical inventory fleet payroll bank deposits cycle counts and daily reports using Lansings days work in a days time philosophy
- Works alongside the warehouse manager and associates
- Uses companys sophisticated inventory management network which ties all Lansing branches together
- Responsible for branch staffing
- Does what is necessary to get the job done while following our mission statement
- Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinates
- High integrity and energy while working in a fastpaced environment
- Experienced manager with the ability to motivate subordinates
- Experience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse roles
- Ability to meet and reach personal goals
- Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by education
- Excellent interpersonal skills the ability to work oneonone with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive businessrelated issues
- Strong computer knowledge
- Allaround business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette
- Competitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mile
- Strong communication and social skills
- Heavy lifting up to 70 pounds may be required on occasion
