About the Role:
As a Science (Biology) ECT you will be responsible for delivering engaging and wellstructured Biology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 covering topics such as cell biology genetics ecology and human physiology. This role requires the ability to develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. You will conduct practical experiments and investigations ensuring student safety and promoting handson learning. Additionally you will assess and monitor student progress through lab reports presentations and written examinations providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to departmental meetings participate in curriculum planning and potentially lead extracurricular science activities.
Ideal Candidate:
You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a Biology specialism demonstrating a strong understanding of biological concepts and experimental techniques. A passion for biology and a desire to inspire students are essential. Excellent laboratory skills including the ability to set up and conduct experiments and a strong understanding of scientific methodology are required. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as a commitment to continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in biology and science education.
