The Role:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Group Function IT team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of data solutions across Skanska Group HQ ensuring they align with both our business strategy and technology standards. Your primary focus will be on the longterm effectiveness cost optimization and standardization of our data solutions while maintaining compliance with Skanskas policies and guidelines.

You will have the opportunity to influence the future of Skanskas data architecture by ensuring that cuttingedge technologies are utilized to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop: Design technical solutions that align with business goals ensuring projects meet both short and longterm objectives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all data projects align with the overarching business strategy and technology standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure effective implementation of solutions and technologies.
  • Holistic Solutions: Provide strategic input for Group Functions and other affected departments by delivering integrated data solutions driven by business requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a bridge between technical and nontechnical stakeholders ensuring clear communication and understanding across teams.
  • Support Leadership: Assist the VP Analytics & Data with various tasks and activities as needed.


About You:

You are a forwardthinking solutionsoriented professional with deep expertise in data architecture. You have an ability to think holistically considering how various functions and processes impact data design and technology. With strong leadership skills you can manage complex projects and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.


Requirements:

  • Education: BSc or MSc in a relevant field
  • Experience: 8 years in Data Architecture and Design
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Oracle platforms is a plus with a strong understanding of solution design in processes data and technology.
  • Holistic Thinking: Ability to aggregate and synthesize requirements from multiple functions and processes.
  • Language: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is preferred.


Personal Characteristics:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Selfleadership: High level of initiative with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects without the need for constant oversight.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and make key technical decisions.
