Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Rochester New York. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8hr Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $360 $400
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient care including taking vital signs collecting medical histories and preparing patients for examinations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as drawing blood EKGs and wound care.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and medical treatments.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records in electronic health systems (EHR).
- Schedule appointments manage patient flow and coordinate referrals.
- Educate patients on medication treatment plans and wellness practices.
Job Requirements:
Education & Certification: - High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA RMA or CCMA) (Preferred but not always required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification.
- 1 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
