Job Description
Job Opportunity: Medical Assistant Rochester NY 14617
Assignment Details:
- Duration: 13week contract
- Shift: 8hour days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay: $360 $400
Key Responsibilities:
- Support nurses and physicians by assisting with patient care including vital signs medical histories and exam preparation.
- Administer medications and injections as directed.
- Perform basic medical procedures (e.g. blood draws EKGs wound care).
- Assist with diagnostic tests and treatments.
- Maintain and update patient records in electronic health systems (EHR).
- Manage scheduling patient flow and referrals.
- Educate patients on medications treatment plans and wellness.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA RMA or CCMA) (Preferred).
- BLS/CPR Certification.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Proficiency in EMR systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology & procedures.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
