Job Description: VTL Operator

Location: Ekattuthangal Chennai
Employment Type: Fulltime
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Operator to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in operating VTL machines to produce hightolerance components for industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Perform tool setting offset adjustments and machine calibration
Conduct inprocess quality checks using precision instruments
Maintain production logs and machine maintenance records
Adhere to all safety protocols and 5S standards
Requirements
Requirements
Essential:
24 years experience as VTL Operator
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or related field
Proficiency in manual VTL machine operation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
Preferred:
Experience in gear manufacturing industry
Basic knowledge of CNC programming
Familiarity with quality standards like ISO
