Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Project Manager of Credit Risk within the Consumer Credit Cards division. Reporting to the Director of Retail Payments this role will play a critical role in driving growth and success in the consumer credit card business. The successful candidate will amalgamate and assess impact and value to prioritize credit risk initiatives based on acquisition and underwriting policies parameters and strategies to deliver resilient business growth and profitability.

- Location: Downtown Toronto ON 3 days per week onsite required)
- Duration: Approximately a 12month consulting project with the possibility of extension

What youll do:
- Prioritize plan and drive the various credit risk initiatives in the consumer credit card business.
- Serve as a bridge and work with various stakeholders including product risk technology marketing operations and compliance to successfully execute projects including escalation and issue resolution.
- Support development and implementation of initiatives around underwriting strategy pricing segmentation and credit line assignment/increases.
- Develop credit strategies tailored to acquisition channel and card type. Partner with business segment product owners to optimize acquisition targeting/marketing campaigns.
- Develop a governance and control framework for business and implementation of initiatives.
- Provide progress reporting and analytics on key metrics to enable status monitoring and data driven decision making.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and teams to identify areas of opportunity and spearhead initiatives to enable profitable growth while minimizing credit risk exposure and adapting to the changing economic and regulatory environment.
Qualifications :
- Masters or Bachelors degree in business economics finance or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk policy & analysis or credit risk management in consumer cards
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
- Prior experience working for a large banking or financial services company specifically within the debit or credit card space
- Proven project management skills ability to manage multiple projects
- Initiativetaking and strong people skills to actively lead collaborate and implement initiatives in a crossfunctional team environment
- Experience delivering recommendations to senior stakeholders and management
- Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills
