Job Description
Position: Rapid Response Sr. Network Engineer
Location: Pentagon
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance
Job Description:
Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities
Configuring and installing various network devices and services
Monitoring network performance and resource utilization trending capacity planning
Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols
Experience with network virtualization technologies
Experience with multitenant network architectures
Familiarity with a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors
Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events
Certification:
At least one nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solutions routers and switches
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01M http://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pages/iabaseline.aspx
IAT Level III certification must be obtained within 120 days after start of BPA PoP for the Senior Network Engineer
Years of experience:
3 years primary role operating troubleshooting installing network routers and switches
3 years primary role designing architecting routed and switched networks
3 years DoD environment
Education:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Engineering or Equivalent; Masters degree preferred
