Job Description
Forward Engineering (FE) is a trusted partner for holistic and sustainable product development in the automotive and aerospace industry. The global FE team supports our client partners with comprehensive design system engineering material and process knowhow in the field of technical and fiberreinforced polymers functional lightweight construction and CAEsupported multimaterial design optimization. Bringing together our global network of material manufacturers technology providers and tier suppliers enables the resource efficient and costeffective implementation of new and emerging technologies.
Tasks
- Planning implementation and support of development projects
- Concept development evaluation and methodical component optimization
- Simulation Driven Design and Manufacturing based Engineering with Composites
- Conducting material characterization and material modeling
- Comparison of simulation and test (at coupon component and assembly level)
- Support of development projects through the integration and support of external CAE partners e.g. in the area of complete vehicle crash simulation
Requirements
- Several years of experience in the simulation and structural optimization of lightweight structures
- Very good knowledge of LSDyna (or comparable explicit solver)
- Indepth knowledge of common pre and postprocessing programs such as Hypermesh & Hyperview
- Good knowledge of material behavior and material models of metals and composites
- You work in a goal and problemsolvingoriented manner are strong in coordination and motivate your project team
- Business fluent in English and German
- Confident appearance and a high level of personal competence in advising customers
- Flexibility willingness to travel and motivation for international projects
- Experienced and comfortable with presenting to groups both at an introductory as well as deep dive technical expert level
