As a member of the County Judges Operations and Administration team the Budget Manager will work with the Chief of Staff and Director of Operations & Administration to oversee the County Judges Offices budget displaying the highest standards of ethical and fiscal conduct. The Budget Manager is primarily responsible for assisting with the management of the budget and implementing fiscal strategies. The Budget Manager will implement processes to maximize productivity analyze and reconcile financial records as it relates to the review and processing of personnel requests purchase orders and requisitions.

Judge Hidalgo functions as the CEO of Harris County and presides over the Harris County Commissioners Court the Countys governing body. Along with four County Commissioners the County Judge directs a budget of more than $4 billion providing essential services such as justice administration flood control infrastructure and housing. Judge Hidalgo also serves as Harris Countys Director of Emergency Management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in accounting economics finance public policy or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Six 6 years of related professional work experience.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Regular Fulltime
Monday Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours including weekends on a frequent basis.
Salary:
Depends on Qualifications
Based on 26 Pay Periods
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
