Job Summary
The Operations Manager at Spelman College will streamline departmental functions and enhance operational efficiency under the Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) guidance. This role involves leading finances optimizing operational effectiveness and fostering robust customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evaluate departmental operations to align with strategic objectives ensuring cost efficiency and staff effectiveness.
- Oversee financial management including budgeting and costreduction initiatives while also developing and implementing strategic plans for the department and universitywide initiatives.
- Act as a primary liaison across departments to coordinate efforts enhance alignment and prevent operational conflicts.
- Advise on and supervise compliance with processes and internal controls participate in policy development and stay updated with industry trends.
- Represent the department in various committees and professional groups to promote success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 510 years of dynamic leadership experience in Plant Operations and Maintenance (POM) preferably in a college/university setting.
- Proven ability to lead costs and improve operational efficiency in complex organizations.
- Strong leadership capabilities critical thinking and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills public speaking ability and a commitment to highquality customer service.
- A flexible transformational leader with a solid discernment.
