Job Description
Bordering Southeast Floridas Atlantic coastline Broward County is the 17th most populous county in the nation and the second largest in the state of Florida. Home to over 1.9 million people Broward County is located between Palm Beach and MiamiDade counties forming the center of South Floridas largest metropolitan area in which 6.1 million people reside.
Fort LauderdaleHollywood International Airport (FLL) is in the heart of Greater Fort Lauderdales Gold Coast. This strategic location provides a catchment area of more than six million people. A considerable portion of the population is affluent and leads the state in travel expenditures. The Aviation Department FLLs operator is a selfsupporting agency of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners that does not rely on local tax dollars for operations and capital improvements. North Perry Airport (HWO) also operated by the Broward County Aviation Department is a general aviation facility devoted exclusively to private and business lightplane activity. Concessionaires offer fuel service air charter flight instruction aircraft sales maintenance storage and other services for the flying public. In FY2024 there were 309693 aircraft operations at the airport.
The Enterprise Director of Finance reports to the Airport Chief Financial Officer and oversees highly responsible supervisory and administrative work in planning organizing and directing the activities of the Aviation Finance Division. Work involves the responsibility for the administration and direction of all financial operational activities for the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International and North Perry Airports and related facilities. The Enterprise Director of Finance will oversee the Aviation Finance Division staff of 24 employees working in four main functional areas capital projects finance & accounting financial operations financial planning & analysis general ledger & financial reporting.
Requires a bachelors degree in appropriate field AND six years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial management including two years of high level supervisory administrative or closely related experience.
Annual Salary: $116642 to $186161
