Position Overview:
The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects across various locations ensuring project timelines safety and quality standards are met consistently. This role involves managing onsite activities coordinating with subcontractors and site personnel and ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed to specification.
Assigned Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for daytoday supervision of project site
- Helps establish safety plan and is directly responsible for project safety.
- Conduct onsite meetings with subcontractors owners and tradesmen.
- Directly responsible to maintain discipline at jobsite.
- Supervise Company field labor and wage per hour employees hired from a third party.
- Supervise Subcontractor activities.
- Help to establish and enforce quality control plan (plans specs and local building codes)
- Maintains project documentation to include daily reports and jobsite photos.
- Monitors subcontractors progress.
- Ensure proper job sequencing.
- Collaborates on preparation of CPM schedules.
- Prepares look ahead schedules.
- Implement schedule to meet project completion dates.
- Produce/submit request for information.
- Liaison with owner occupant
- Resolve field conflicts.
- Maintain asbuilt drawings.
- Identify documents for potential change orders and back charges.
- Coordinates material deliveries
- Frequently travel to different job sites as required by project demands.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 57 years General Construction experience required.
- Experience with education K12 and/or aviation construction is preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferred.
- Communication supervisory and organizational skills are necessary.
