Senior Java developer with DevOps Cloud and Integration Baseline security clearance
Key Responsibilities:
-
Software Development & Management:
Perform and manage the analysis design development prototyping unit testing and maintenance activities for software solutions across multiple projects.
Solve highly complex problems and deliver highquality solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.
Conduct highlevel analysis of technical requirements to support project evaluation with proposed solutions aligned with business goals. -
Release Management & Production Support:
Manage the release cycle ensuring smooth golive and postproduction support including monitoring performance and resolving issues.
Ensure compliance with endorsed software development methodologies and operational standards. -
System Design & Development:
Lead technical design and development for custom solutions and standard conversion/migration solutions.
Develop highly complex scalable and robust software applications and integrate them across onpremises and cloud environments. -
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing:
Share your expertise as a subject matter expert and proactively assist less experienced team members.
Lead knowledgesharing initiatives conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to foster skill development and growth within the team. -
Team Leadership & Resource Management:
Lead and manage a development team overseeing work priorities resource management and task assignments.
Influence the teams performance by developing staff capability through coaching mentoring and succession planning.
Resolve escalated issues and suggest alternative approaches to address challenges. -
Quality Assurance & Reporting:
Monitor and manage work output and quality against established performance standards.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) business outcomes and the quality of software solutions. -
Collaboration & Technical Leadership:
Provide detailed specialist technical advice to senior leadership and other stakeholders as required.
Contribute to the formulation of ICT strategy aligning technical initiatives with business goals and resolving conflicts when needed. -
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare and review a wide range of documentation including technical specifications design documents and corporate communications.
Ensure all development work aligns with compliance standards security protocols and organizational guidelines.
Key Technical Skills:

Programming Languages & Frameworks:
Proficient in Java technologies with handson experience in Angular or equivalent scripting frameworks.
Strong knowledge of OpenShift and OpenLiberty for developing scalable applications in cloud environments. -
Cloud & System Integration:
Expertise in cloudbased solutions (Azure AWS) and systems integration practices to ensure seamless communication between applications and platforms. -
DevOps & CI/CD:
Experience in DevOps practices continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for managing code deployments and releases. -
Leadership & Collaboration:
Proven ability to lead mentor and manage a team of developers to achieve high performance and meet project goals.
Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design develop and deliver software solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Experience:
8 years in software engineering with a focus on DevOps cloud applications and system integration.
Proven experience in Java development Angular and cloud technologies. -
Educational Background:
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field is preferred.
