Job Description
This is a remote position.
About the Role
We re looking for a meticulous and proactive PartTime QA Tester to join our team a fastgrowing web app that helps businesses create highquality videos in seconds.
You ll be responsible for manually testing all features of the platform across desktop and mobile browsers ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for users on any device. This includes testing across combinations of desktop browsers (Chrome Firefox Safari Edge) and operating systems (macOS Windows Linux) as well as mobile browsers on iOS and Android.
Youll work closely with the engineering team to catch issues early document bugs clearly and help prioritize and track release blockers in Linear.
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday between 9am6pm PST (San Francisco CA)
Responsibilities
- Manually test all features on desktop and mobile web across a variety of browser/OS/device combinations
- Identify and report bugs edge cases and usability issues
- Retest fixed issues and confirm regressions are resolved
- Collaborate closely with engineers to reproduce and resolve problems
- Proactively communicate when potential release blockers are found
- Create update and manage tickets in Linear (our issue tracking tool)
- Ensure each release meets a high bar for quality and user experience
Requirements
- Experience in manual QA testing for web apps (desktop and mobile)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication
- Familiarity with a wide range of browsers operating systems and mobile devices
- Comfortable managing bugs and tickets in tools like Linear Jira or similar
- Selfstarter who can work independently and take initiative
- Amenable to work during Pacific Standard Time and still maintain excellent work ethic and results
Nice to Have
- Experience testing video or mediaheavy applications
- Familiarity with mobile testing tools or device farms (e.g. LambdaTest Sauce Labs)
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese to help improve the translations on our web app
