Job Description

Job Summary
Radford University invites applications for the parttime position of IMPACT Online Learning Coach. Learning Coaches provide online and phone support to adults learners in an online competencybased education CBE programs developed by the Vinod Chachra IMPACT Lab at Radford University. The responsibilities of the Learning Coaches include but are not limited to answering questions regarding online competencybased instruction providing guidance for the use of an online simulations and virtual labs reviewing learning analytics and manage learner progress and completion rates. The ability to communicate in a positive and supportive fashion is essential to the role.

Required Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Proficiency with technology and technological resources. The capacity to work at a computer/phone for significant periods. The ability to travel for training on multiple occasions per year. The ability to work evening or weekend hours to support nontraditional learners.

Preferred Qualifications
A familiarity with learning management systems and online learning support. Experience working in a competencybased learning environment. Higher education teaching or advising experience. Experience assisting students with academic technological and life challenges. Experience guiding students thru complex instructional activities.
