Job Description
Roblox experience is powered by microservices. As a Senior Software Engineer for our Application Networking Team we focus on application networking e.g. ingress gateways and service mesh to connect and secure Robloxs services. The ingress layer steers user traffic from the edge data centers to the core data centers; the gateway fronts Roblox core DCs; the service mesh routes the requests between services in the core data centers. We are building our nextgeneration ingress gateways and mesh based on industryleading opensource projects to scale with Robloxs business.
You will:
- Help to set the technical vision of the application networking domain
- Execute with teammates and stakeholders to realize our vision while supporting legacy solutions
- Deliver highquality code and design whiling holding a bar for the team
- Influence the design across networking and infrastructure
- Mentor and grow engineers on the team
You have:
- 5 years of working experience and experience in building maintaining and evolving large scale distributed systems.
- Preferably knowledge in the application networking domain
- Experience with maintain tier0 critical systems
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; Masters degree or higher is a definite plus
