Description

Job Summary

The TPO Client Specialist will be responsible for gathering reviewing and approving Third Party Originator applications for new and existing Correspondent and Wholesale clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathers and analyzes counterparty financials loan production third party audit results warehouse capacity P&Ps and other relevant documentation required for the approval process.
  • Schedules and performs counterparty reviews of mortgage lenders being considered for approval to sell loans to PHL. This includes all new broker/lender approval packages.
  • Completes TPO Seller setup and provides instruction to client on various PHL Systems.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing to internal and external parties regarding application requirements and conditions.

Position Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of mortgage counterparty risk management audit or quality control

Functional/Technical Skills

  • In depth knowledge of mortgage production process and mortgage compliance landscape
  • Experience reviewing mortgage credit files
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to independently complete multiple timesensitive tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word and Excel
