BGC Okanagan is hiring an Adult Youth and Child Worker for our Summerland Secondary School Club. This is a term position from March 27 2025 June 28 2025 with the possibility to renew the contract for the next school year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathers information relevant to clients problems by interviewing observing behavior meeting with caregivers and service providers and using a variety of inventories checklists and questionnaires. Conducts structured analyses of the information gathered to provide an assessment of clients problems.
- Evaluates client challenges and creates tailored intervention plans for individuals families and groups.
- Provides skillbuilding in areas such as parenting skills anger management and selfmanagement techniques.
- Monitors clients progress and provides followup planning.
- Maintains related records and statistics and provides reports to the supervisor as required.
- Liaises with and/or promotes the interests of clients with other community service providers professionals and or school personnel as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a related human / social service field one 1 year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Current First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Possess a valid Class 5 BC Drivers license and reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance
This position is open to all applicants.
This position requires union membership.
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday during school hours
Rate of Pay:$27.54 per hour
