Job Description

Position Type: Parttime adjunct
Compensation: $800 $950 per credit based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Location: NHTI Concords Community College

Overview:

The Educator Preparation Program at NHTI is a dynamic community of educators and scholars committed to cultivating the next generation of thoughtful capable and ethical educators. Our mission is to empower students with the knowledge skills and dispositions needed to inspire and lead in diverse classroom settings fostering critical thinking creativity and ethical reasoning.

Through our comprehensive coursework and clinical experiences students gain a deep understanding of effective teaching strategies curriculum development and the diverse needs of learners. We emphasize the practical application of educational theory aligned with state standards to prepare our graduates to thrive as educators in K12 schools and beyond.

Our faculty members bring both expertise and passion to the classroom collaborating with students to create a supportive dynamic and studentcentered learning community. By joining our team you will contribute to shaping educators who are not only skilled in their craft but are also dedicated to fostering positive change in New Hampshire communities and schools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a masters degree in education or related field.
  • Experience: Preferred prior teaching experience in Educator Preparation and familiarity with Canvas. At least 5 years teaching experience in K12 and hold a teaching credential.
  • Residency: Must reside in NH VT ME MA RI or CT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery: Provide instruction using curricula aligned with department program and state standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster active learning through discussions assignments and assessments.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance provide feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current in your field and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
