Job Description
Overview:
Job Title: COMSEC Manager
Location: Los Angeles CA
Job Responsibilities:
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a COMSEC Manager to support manage and oversee COMSEC requirements for Los Angeles AFB CA.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop implement and oversee COMSEC policies and procedures for the LAAFB COMSEC account ensuring compliance with AFMAN 171302O MPTO 0033B5001 CNSSI.1 & 4005 and NSA 316 across multiple sites.
- Provide oversight and enforcement of COMSEC operations ensuring proper management safeguarding and accountability of COMSEC materials and equipment.
- Lead risk management efforts related to COMSEC material security identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage COMSEC personnel and operations ensuring adherence to federal security standards conducting training and overseeing operational effectiveness.
- Advise on and develop COMSEC policies and procedures ensuring alignment with applicable government directives and evolving security requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Government representatives senior leadership and internal teams for all COMSECrelated policy and compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with all required regulations and directives by leading audits assessments and process evaluations to maintain operational integrity.
- Perform all duties required in the absence of the Government COMSEC representative ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with applicable security standards.
Work is performed fulltime on site in Los Angeles CA.
In compliance with Californias Pay Transparency requirements the following information is being disclosed. If the position applied to is not located in California the following information may not apply. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location experience and performance.In addition Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage flexible spending accounts an employee wellness program life and disability insurance a retirement savings plan company holidays and paid time off (PTO).
Salary Minimum: $50000
Salary Maximum: $101200
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active inscope US Government issued Top Secret SCI clearance
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements US Citizenship is required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- GSEC or CISM or CISSO or FITSPM or GCSA or GCIH or GSLC or GICSP or GCIA or CISSPISSMP or CISSP or equivalent or higher level certifications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completed Training/certification in compliance with DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Qualification Matrix for COMSEC Manager: Intermediate and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Training.
Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma and three 3 years of relevant experience in COMSEC.
