The Core Payments team has been instrumental in Rokus exponential growth in online subscriptions achieved through an instreaming onTV purchase experience. Core Payments supports various teams across Roku; spanning multiple consumer interfaces including TV web mobile and advertising. These diverse teams have developed unique strategies for selling digital content access encompassing Subscription Video on Demand/Transactional Video on Demand (SVOD/TVOD) companybranded devices and ondevice shoppable ads.
About the Role
We are seeking a Payment Operations Manager to join our dynamic Payments team. This individual will be tasked with investigating and developing solutions to track monitor and enhance our payment ecosystems. They will diagnose and proactively address emerging patterns executing a strategy aimed at delivering an improved consumer and partner experience. The ideal candidate is analytically driven detailoriented and possesses advanced problemsolving skills. They must have a deep understanding and experience in payments data as they will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Operations teams to provide insights and performancerelated details. This is an individual contributor role.
For California Only The estimated annual salary for this position is between $153000 $170000 annually.Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set certifications and specific geographical location.This role is eligible for health insurance equity awards life insurance disability benefits parental leave wellness benefits and paid time off.
What youll be doing:
- Oversee endtoend payment processes and requirements while contributing insights to develop worldclass billing products and processes
- Lead the identification of issues and incidents conduct business impact analysis and engage with the wider team for resolution
- Identify opportunities for improvement within our payment services effectively communicating with product management and engineering teams
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement strategies to accommodate evolving consumer payment preferences
- Focus on optimizing processing costs to deliver a positive impact on payment processing expenses
- Engage with internal and external partners to identify optimization opportunities and contribute to building a worldclass subscription payment processing and billing platform
- Collaborate closely with the Payment Protection team to monitor fraud/risk patterns and minimize chargeback losses
Were excited if you have:
- 8 years of experience as an Analyst Consultant or in a related occupation
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering Mathematics Statistics Economics Operations Research Computer Science or a related field
- Strong payments experience
- Quantitative analysis including interpreting large structured data and formulating recommendations
- Performing data analysis developing strategies driving implementation and delivering postlaunch performance results
- Handson experience in visualization using Tableau or similar statistical/reporting packages
- Proficiency in Python and Shell as scripting languages
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Experience in the payments/ecommerce domain
- Working with transactional systems processes A/B tests or analytics in a technology company
- Realworld experience in Risk Management and Risk Analytics
- Exposure to Incident/Escalations processes
- Indepth knowledge of the Payment Product domain and Payment Service technical implementation stacks
- Working collaboratively with multiple teams internally and externally
