Rate: 38 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Newport Council. They are looking for an experienced Childrens Social Worker to join their Child Protection team.
What will your responsibilities be
In this role you will conduct assessments and investigations to identify children at risk of harm. You will develop and implement care plans to protect children and support families. Working collaboratively with multiagency teams including health education and law enforcement will be essential. You will provide expert advice and support to families and carers maintain accurate and uptodate case records and participate in case conferences court proceedings and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications and Experiences:
You must have a degree in Social Work and registration with Social Care Wales. Proven experience in child protection or a related field is essential. You should have a strong understanding of child protection legislation and best practices along with excellent communication assessment and decisionmaking skills. The ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload is crucial. Additionally you should be committed to continuous professional development. Benefits include:
