Were looking for Servers to join our team at Jerk at Nite! As a Server you are the face of our restaurant responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences through friendly service menu knowledge and timely order delivery. This role requires strong communication skills attention to detail and a passion for hospitality. About Jerk at Nite
When latenight food options on Howard Universitys campus failed to meet the needs of students pulling allnighters working on projects and attending campus events Jerk at Nite stepped in to fill the gap. We believe that authentic hearty and healthconscious food should be available at any hournot just pizza fast food or takeout loaded with preservatives.
Thats why we serve Jamaicaninfused dishes with an exotic mix of Mexican and American soul food flavorsoffering a better bolder and healthier latenight alternative. As we continue to grow were looking for Servers to help us maintain our commitment to outstanding service warm hospitality and a vibrant dining atmosphere.

Position Responsibilities
PEOPLE: Guest Experience & Teamwork
Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming upbeat atmosphere
Take orders accurately and efficiently ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen
Make menu recommendations explaining dishes and answering guest questions about ingredients and dietary restrictions
Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner checking in to ensure guest satisfaction
Work collaboratively with fellow servers kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service
Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly
PRODUCTS: Order Accuracy & Presentation
Doublecheck orders before delivering them to guests to ensure accuracy
Ensure food and beverages are plated and presented properly
Keep menu knowledge up to date including daily specials and seasonal items
Suggest upsells such as appetizers sides and beverages to enhance the guest experience
PLACE: Cleanliness & Organization
Maintain a clean and organized service area including tables floors and condiment stations
Reset tables quickly and efficiently to accommodate new guests
Ensure all service areas are stocked with napkins utensils and condiments
Assist in keeping frontofhouse areas tidy and ready for service
PROFIT: Efficiency & Sales Growth
Work efficiently to reduce wait times and improve overall guest experience
Suggest menu items that enhance the dining experience while increasing sales
Handle cash and card transactions accurately following proper payment procedures
Support promotional events and marketing initiatives to drive guest engagement
What Were Looking For
Previous experience as a server cashier or in a customer service role preferred
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while staying friendly and professional
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
Availability to work days evenings weekends and holidays as needed
