POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our HR team is highly collaborative which fosters a positive and productive work environment.

Working closely with the HR Business Partners the HR Coordinator will provide frontline support to assigned client groups with a strong focus on both talent acquisition and general HR functions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service orientation who can demonstrate the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize a variety of tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Posting roles and screening resumes to identify qualified candidates
  • Conducting phone interviews to assess candidate suitability
  • Scheduling interviews with hiring managers and candidates
  • Assisting in the preparation of offer letters and conducting reference checks
  • Working crossfunctionally to oversee the successful onboarding of new hires

HR Systems & Analytics:

  • Providing HRIS support to the HR team as required
  • Processing various employee changes and ensuring HR records are up to date
  • Running and analyzing reports in Dayforce and conducting audits as needed

Employee Engagement & Support:

  • Working closely with HR Business Partners to provide frontline support to employees
  • Drafting formal HR correspondence such as letters of employment and employee status change letters
  • Supporting in the development and implementation of HR initiatives or projects
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or equivalent preferably in Human Resource Management
  • Possesses or is working towards CHRP designation is an asset
  • 12 years of HR experience an asset
  • Familiarity with HRIS required preferably Ceridian Dayforce
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g. vlookups pivot tables are an asset)
  • Understanding of payroll processes is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards and Ontario Labour Relations Act
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

VACCINATION POLICY:


All offers of employment with The Globe and Mail are conditional upon the candidate being Fully Vaccinated. To be Fully Vaccinated is defined as someone who has received the full series of a vaccine or a combination of vaccines accepted by the Government of Canada (currently Pfizer Moderna AstraZeneca Janssen) and has received the last dose at least 14 days prior to their start date. To prove they are Fully Vaccinated all new hires will be required to provide evidence by emailing a copy of their vaccine dose administration receipt(s) to Human Resources prior to their start date.
