About the Role:
We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Senior ManagementAccountant you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning analysis and reporting to drive strategic decisionmaking across aged care operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in collaboration with operational teams.
- Analyse financial performance across facilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of cost models to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Provide financial insights to stakeholders to enhance operational and strategic decisionmaking.
- Assist with funding and compliance reporting including aged carespecific regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies.
- Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems.
About You:
- Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
- Experience:
- Proven experience in management accounting preferably within aged care healthcare or a similar industry.
- Understanding of funding models and compliance requirements in aged care.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management systems (Epicor).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with nonfinancial stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
