Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Middle School English Teacher to design & implement engaging curricula that promote literacy critical thinking & a deep appreciation for literature. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading & writing fostering creativity & academic excellence in all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with state standards and Ivy Academys curriculum.
• Teach a range of topics including reading comprehension grammar writing vocabulary development and literary analysis.
• Incorporate a variety of texts including classic and contemporary literature to promote diverse perspectives.
• Foster critical thinking through classroom discussions debates and written assignments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and risktaking.
• Use technology and multimedia tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Assess and track student progress through assignments projects and assessments providing timely feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and schoolwide events.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in English education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in English Education/Education for Secondary ELA.
• Valid teaching certification in English (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Prior teaching experience preferably at the middle school level.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication organizational and classroom management skills.
