The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention is seeking one 1 highly motivated and organizedProject/Program Manager II to join our Community Corrections Division. The primary responsibilities of this position include monitoring and reporting on a variety of projects as well as preparing written reports and presentations to summarize analysis and research for stakeholders.

About the Division:The Community Corrections Division has three programs Community Center Alternative Programs (CCAP)ElectronicHomeDetention(EHD)andIntakeServicesUnit(ISU).CaseworkersworkinCCAPandEHD.TheEHD and CCAP programs are housed inthe King County Yesler Building400 Yesler Way indowntown Seattle.EHD work with participants that are out in the community completing their sentence.CCAP work with participants who partake in a continuum of structured programs.

The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) is a professional and nationally recognized organization that supports safe vibrant and healthy communities in partnership with other criminal justice and human service agencies. DAJD operates the largest county jail in the State of Washington housing an average daily population of more than 1400 inmates.

This recruitment will fill the current fulltime career service vacancy. It will also create an eligibility list which may be used to fill future Career Service Term Limited Temporary or Special Duty Assignment Program/Project Manager vacancies for the Community Corrections Division.

To be considered minimally qualified for this role you must demonstrate:

Most Competitive Candidates will have the following:
  • Three 3 years project management experience.
  • Three 3 years of demonstrated experience in data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Word Excel Outlook SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Community Corrections programs and goals.

WHO MAY APPLY:This position is open to all qualified candidates. Internal consideration may be given to current DAJD and King County employees.

WORK SCHEDULE:This position will work a 40hour work week and is overtime eligible (provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act).Standard work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. however may be subject to change as otherwise negotiated with the successful applicant.

WORK LOCATION:The work associated with this position will be performed through a hybrid work model that will require both onsite and remote work. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change.

The primary onsite work location for this position is the Yesler Building at 400 Yesler Way Room 260 Seattle WA 98104. However candidates must be willing and able to report to work at different locations in Seattle and Kent including offices within the secured perimeter of detention facilities with potential inmate contact.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and when working remotely must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The person selected forthisposition may berequired to complete athorough background investigation process including fingerprinting criminal history check polygraph and reference checks.
