Job Description

This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8 1 of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and section 57 of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1996 (NT).


About the role:

This position is situated within the Darwin office of MacKillops WA/NT Services Division.

The Administration Officer Darwin will provide timely and efficient administrative support in relation to program and support services processes including overseeing the reception area.

The Administration Officer Darwin will provide high quality PA and administration support to the Darwin NT Team Leader NT and administrative support to the Greater Darwin NT Services and WA/NT administration team.

Liaise as required with staff from MacKillops Offices as well as staff from a wide range of government and nongovernment agencies as required.

Oversee the local integration and alignment of all back office functions including contracting and standards policy implementation community relations finance and business services and human resource management in partnership with relevant MacKillop staff locally and at head office.


This is a PartTime 27.5 hours per week 8am2pm Monday to Friday opportunity based in Darwin NT within our Western Australia (WA)/ Northern Territory (NT) Services. The position reports to the Family Support Service Team Leader NT.


Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Establish improve and manage administration systems that support the delivery of high quality services to vulnerable children young people and their families.
  • Provide administrative support to the Northern Territory team including preparation of correspondence reports minutes and other documents maintaining the NT Services filing system; purchasing supplies goods and equipment; coordinating vehicle bookings and other related tasks.
  • Coordinate the reception function for the Darwin office.
  • Make all travel arrangements for staff as required.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
