Pay Range: $68640/yr
BASIC PURPOSE
The Associate Director of Annual Giving plays a key role in the success of The Salvation Armys fundraising efforts specifically through ongoing and proactive relationship management strategic communications plans gifts cultivation and solicitation activity with a broadly focused caseload of donors who make annual gifts in support of The Salvation Army and prospects who are likely to do so. In this role the Associate Director of Annual Giving will identify qualify cultivate solicit and steward annual giving donors with an emphasis on securing continued and increased support. The caseload is divisionally focused and covers an expansive territory across Northern California and Northern Nevada.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advance our mission with key stakeholders to drive awareness engagement and donor support.
- Build and manage assigned Annual Giving programs that attract new or current donors and encourage annual monthly and matching gifts amongst our donor base.
- Leverage technology brand marketing practices and audience specific messages (awareness of interests generational influence or affinity) to build a consistent and innovative donor experience model.
- Work with development officers and others representing corps and programs to plan and conduct Annual Giving appeals and initiatives.
- Strategically plan objectives and track results and report on objectives activities and overall results to internal and external constituencies.
- Assist in the creation and of messages through a variety of communication channels and oversee the relationships with project liaisons in managing timelines and schedules of campaigns.
- Actively participate as a staff member within the Development Division attend Divisionwide meetings and trainings support Divisionwide priorities and initiatives and serve on committees as time permits.
- Maintain knowledge of Divisional activities that would be of interest to messaging themes; regularly utilize collaboration opportunities with corps donor relations social services communications and planned giving.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
This position will require a 4year college degree or substituted with 57 years of related experience.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
- Must possess High School Diploma higher education desired.
- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must successfully pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) and preemployment background check.
- Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit walk stand bend squat climb kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp push pull objects such as chairs tables cabinets and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
