Job Description
This is a Part Time Position. The School of Physical Therapy SOPT at Marshall University invite clinicaltrack faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin April 2025. The candidate will have the ability to assist core faculty members with teaching laboratory skills in three or more of the following areas of physical therapy practice: cardiopulmonary neurologic orthopedics pediatrics or geriatrics. The candidate will have the ability to teach relevant laboratory skills in three or more clinical settings including acute care inpatient rehabilitation skilled nursing facility outpatient or home health. The candidate will also supervise DPT students in the SOPT pro bono clinic and participate in any future clinical residency program. The clinical faculty member will participate in both independent and team teaching. Responsibilities will focus on teaching and participating in clinical assessments (e.g. skills checks and practical examinations) and teaching in the CASES course series. This parttime position will have limited expectations for scholarship. The candidate will participate in some SOPT service activities (e.g. committees and student advising) as assigned by the chairperson.
