Description

Job Title: Loss Prevention Support Specialist

Essential Function

This position will successfully manage and execute a range of administrative reporting and communication functions necessary to support the overall loss prevention department efforts. This position will be highly collaborative with LP at the Corporate Support Center and with fieldbased LP partners. The position will also create and maintain strong partnerships throughout all areas of the business.

Primary Duties

5 Perform various administrative functions throughout the day. This includes but not limited to visitor management functions assist with newhire orientation ordering of LP related supplies for the Support Center and distribution centers and preparing and sending out mailings as needed.

50 Data Analytics: Compile and analyze safety data from various sources (incident reporting worker comp claims and similar) and provide reporting to management and other business partners.Review data related to the hazardous waste program (inspections waste generation tracking and similar) and provide reporting and action needed as determined. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to tract safety and hazardous waste programs for and effectiveness.

10 Receives and reviews all invoices related to Loss Prevention programs. Compares charges to the program agreement pricing past invoices and payment activity to ensure accuracy. Communicates with vendors and internal business partners to research and resolve discrepancies.

10 Coordinates the deployment of specialized Loss Prevention technology as needed (ex. GPS trackers counterfeit detectors CCTV equipment) to the field. Communicates with various business partners to ensure effective implementation of devices and provides additional training and information as needed.

20 Prepares maintains and distributes various reports to provide visibility to program as it relates to the use of LP technology. Assist with maintaining the remote CCTV platform including equipment troubleshooting system resets and video review/download as needed.

5 Performs supports and/or coordinates ad hoc projects to support the business both inside and outside the department as needed or assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication skills able to write and verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Access Word and PowerPoint).
  • Some knowledge of regulatory requirements specifically OSHA (safety) and EPA (hazardous waste) including regulations and how to interpret regulation language.
  • 13 years or previous experience in an administrative support capacity.
  • Strong skills in organizing attention to detail accuracy prioritizing followup and problem solving.
  • Possess good time management skills and can work in a fastpaced environment

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The work is sedentary. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers files books small parts; driving an automobile etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices meeting and training rooms libraries and residences or commercial vehicles e.g. use of safe work practices with office equipment avoidance of trips and falls observance of fire regulations and traffic signals etc. The work area is adequately lighted heated and ventilated.
