Job Description

Flow Cytometry Clinical Technician/Technologist

HematoLogics has an exciting opportunity for a Flow Cytometry Clinical Technician/Technologist to join our team onsite at our laboratory on the Seattle waterfront. This is a dynamic position requiring the ability to provide accurate and precise clinical laboratory services while fluidly shifting between multiple different duties. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal and laboratory skills to work successfully with our Flow team as well as the other laboratory sections in our medical practice. This position will be aWednesdaySaturdayrole.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Select appropriate flow cytometry panels based on diagnosis/available clinical information
  • Accurately pipette appropriate antibodies
  • Receive and distribute specimens to all sections
  • Process and accurately pipette samples into their appropriate tubes
  • Run samples on flow cytometers and monitor/address flow rate and other acquisition issues
  • Prepare cocktails and other laboratory reagents as well as stock supplies
  • Review instrument QA/QC
  • Participate in department competency program
  • Accession samples as appropriate
  • Process Flow department addons
  • Participate in laboratory meetings
  • Learn and engage in flow cytometric cellsorting techniques as appropriate to team needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a chemical physical or biological science is required
  • MT/MLS/CLS ASCP certification or certification specific to hematology H(ASCP) or flow cytometry (SCYM) ASCP welcome.
  • Fulltime onsite physical presence is an essential job function of this role
  • Willing to work10hour shifts WednesdaySaturday 8:30am6:30pm
  • Passion for providing highquality and industryleading diagnostic services as well as patient care
  • Deeply committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of scientific advances
  • Works successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to complete tasks successfully and efficiently as delegated by Lead/Supervisor/Director
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills

Fulltime physical presence at our Seattle laboratory is an essential job function of this role.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

HematoLogics offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package which includes medical vision and dental insurance with 100 of monthly premiums paid by the company for employees and 50 of premiums paid for an employees spouse/partner/dependents. Longterm disability coverage is provided with 100 of monthly premiums paid for by the company. We offer up to 6 match at 6 months tenure and beyond for 401K contributions by the employee. Vacation is distributed on an accrual basis.At 1 year tenure an employee will have accrued 12 days vacation 10 days of sick time and 11 paid holidays. We offer tuition reimbursement anniversary awards profitsharing bonuses 100 coverage of ORCA card or $50 per month onsite parking and a variety of other benefits to recognize our teams meaningful contributions to patient care and the company.

Clinical Technician nonASCP certified: Hourly range: $35.31$47.08

Clinical Technologist ASCP certified including MT/MLS/CLS H(ASCP) or (SCYM): Hourly range: $41.69$56.40
