What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Facility Operations or as designated responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Managing and maintaining of boilers and boiler room equipment HVAC systems and mechanical systems as scheduled
- Manage and maintain the wastewater treatment plant conducting sampling and testing troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Operation and repairs of the Chillers Air Handling Units Reverse Osmosis system plumbing pumps and any other related plant equipment
- Develop and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in alignment with best practices.
- Demonstrate expertise in refrigeration systems.
- Oversee industrial modifications and installations.
- Conduct testing repairs and maintenance on boilers burners and other plant equipment.
- Undertake faultfinding and diagnostic activities.
- Collaborate with contractors for effective project planning and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Maintain swimming pool pump systems.
- Ensure plant good housekeeping and adherence to safe working practices.
- Follow all Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHSE) requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and various departments in the Hotel
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of two 2 years experience as a Building Operator or Building Maintenance Technician in a large hotel hospital or multifacility building.
- Possess a Plant Engineer Certificate Steam Engineer Certificate or an equivalent engineering qualification is required
- Knowledge and repair skills in building systems including HVAC systems boiler operations Plant Management software systems and wastewater treatment plants is required
- Strong computer skills with a focus on Excel Word and PowerPoint is required
- Exhibit good work ethics effective communication and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multicultural diverse environment
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity
