Job Description

Team information:

This position belongs to C/TX department from Germany.

At C/TXECOE1 we are responsible for the classification of Customs Tariff Codes and Export Control Codes considering WCO rules for RB goods. Basis for our operations are the national legal regulations and technical specifications of the goods provided by the divisions. 

Position overview:

C/TXECOE1 is looking for a fulltime associate to join our dynamic team in HCM city Vietnam. As our associate you will be responsible for classifying the product/software to the right HS code/ EC code and analyze out database then make it comply with International Custom Law.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of products technologies and software to determine their tariff code classification and export control classification.

  • Interpret and classify product to correct export control category and tariff code according to regulations of US EU and other countries.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather necessary technical information and documentation for accurate classification.

  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of changes in export control regulations and ensure compliance with any new requirements.

  • Maintain classification records in SAP system to track and document classification decisions.

  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on Tariff code classification/export control requirements and best practices.

  • Support in communication with authorities against licensing and classification of circumstance


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering fields such as: Mechanical Electrical Automotive Computer science or other related fields

  • Advanced proficiency in English specifically reading comprehension skill and the ability to understand international regulations technical description of product e.g.

  • 1 3 years of experience in product engineering/software development field.

  • Having knowledge of Tariff Code classification or Export Control Regulations is an advance.

  • Having knowledge of of software or programming languages is an advance.

  • Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.

  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in classification decisions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.

  • Familiarity with other international trade compliance areas such as sanctions and customs regulations is a plus.
