Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at the Milton Ontario manufacturing facility.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operations team reporting to the Director of Operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of packing area machines focusing on maximizing uptime and minimizing waste.
  • Define and maintain uptodate operating standards including accurate functional descriptions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CE equipment.
  • Lead training initiatives for new hires and team members emphasizing safe work practices and continuous skills development.
  • Oversee and implement qualification processes for packing area operators and technicians.
  • Plan and manage the quality of manufacturing processes by acquiring necessary equipment refining work instructions and SOPs and setting safety guidelines for equipment use and maintenance.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams evaluate performance analyze reports and communicate regular updates based on operational data.
  • Manage CE settings as the RockFact owner of the Product Database.
  • Coordinate packaging trials and collaborate with Procurement to optimize material usage.
  • Support ongoing development and optimization of processes equipment and tools for better manufacturing outcomes.

What you bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Electrical Engineering or a Technologists degree in Robotics Automation or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Canadian Professional Engineering (P.Eng. designation required.
  • Minimum 3 years in manufacturing process engineering or an industrial environment.
  • Strong adherence to Environmental and Safety standards.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data for process improvement.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing root cause analysis and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 10 for training and support at other factory locations.
  • Advanced computer skills for data analysis reporting and communication.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the core values of Ambition Integrity Responsibility and Efficiency.
  • Organizational and analytical skills strong attention to detail effective communication problemsolving abilities and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Working in a unionized environment.
