Job Description

Contract Management Specialist Senior Manager

The Boeing Company is seeking a Contract Management Specialist Senior Manager to join their team in Renton WA.

The successful candidate will lead manage and develop a team of professional individual contributors who each have signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products services technologies and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies. You will present business solutions to preserve and expand the business. You will also represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers including but not limited to the US Government international commercial entities and public/private institutions.

The selected candidate will have authority to prepare negotiate execute interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements for The Boeing Company including but not limited to sales and acquisition agreements master agreements delivery and postdelivery obligations industrial participation agreements financing arrangements leases contractual disputes intellectual property licenses and agreements. You will coordinate and consult with other internal functional disciplines. Lastly the selected individual will summarize contractual issues develop creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and leads a team of Contracts Regional Directors

  • Displays broad contracting skill set with the capability to assess risk and make decisions quickly with imperfect information and the capability to adapt to dramatic shifts in circumstances both internal and external

  • Manages the team responsible for the sale and delivery of commercial aircraft and the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Contracts function in the respective BCA Sales region(s)

  • Supports the development and growth of the varied skill sets of the Contracts team including regional rotation and succession planning

  • Leads the development of strategy to close terms and conditions to enable the sale and delivery of commercial aircraft

  • Collaborates closely with the BCA Sales and Revenue Management in developing overall selling strategy

  • Ensures compliance with all contracting processes

  • Identifies improvements and resolve any process gaps or inadequacies to processes to enable a better customer experience

  • Manages significant competing priorities and customer demands in an extraordinary dynamic environment dealing with conflicting customer demands internal program priorities and challenges and interacting with senior leadership across internal and customer organizations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner customer Finance suppliers) in planning and executing projects or transactions

  • Experience in negotiation and contracting processes

  • Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations to define and drive common objectives

  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with crossfunctional teams on projects transactions or initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • Detailed knowledge ofBCA contracting andselling process

  • Ability to be collaborative and strategic with multiple stakeholders

  • Proven ability to execute on commitments

  • Externally focused forward looking perspective
