The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Prop SD team is seeking a Mission Design FrontLine Engineering Manager located in Seal Beach CA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing a worldclass Mission Design team including Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Leadership System Architecture & Concept of Operations (ConOps) Fault & Autonomy Models & Equations Recommended Operating Procedures Astrodynamics and Modeling & Simulation of the Proprietary Program. Interacting with customers suppliers program management and other capability and productbased IPTs is expected. The successful candidate will integrate the activities of this team across the proprietary program to assure meeting of technical performance parameters.

Position Responsibilities:

• Mission Design deputy for the SEIT Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Integrate these activities across the proprietary program.
• CoLeads SEIT Leadership System Architecture & Concept of Operations (ConOps) Fault & Autonomy Models & Equations Recommended Operating Procedures Astrodynamics and Modeling & Simulation.
• Collaborate with other productbased and capability IPTs to ensure program objectives are met.
• Support new development activities including proposals and other cost and schedule estimation activities.
• Plan and manage allocated work scope to meet cost schedule and technical objectives.
• Coach counsel mentor and provide development opportunities for employees.
• Conduct performance management hiring retention award/recognition and business priority setting.
• Execute to program staffing hiring critical skills and employee development plans.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
• 3 years of direct experience with Satellite Systems Engineering groups.
• 3 years of experience leading projects or engineering teams.
• 3 years of systems or software engineering experience on spacebased systems.
• 3 years of experience with the design of mission systems sensors or sensing systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience on an aerospace Systems Engineering related capability team.
• Domain knowledge of Mission Design.
• Excellent communications skills verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management customers and partners.
• Previous management experience.
• Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion transparency and trust.
• Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
• Previous experience in leading mentoring and engaging individuals and teams.
• Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.
